I hope your words and sentiment resounds within the community. A beautiful testament to love and resilience. I do cringe when someone says they won’t do it to us. Or I’ll fix it for our own. Yet, they don’t feel the pain of it happening to others. That kind of selfish attitude is heart killing. Thank you for your vision and vigilance for truth, justice and compassion.

I agree with you. Oklahoma is such a tough case for me. I don't expect a big turn around, but I can't help but hope for it. Thanks for reading, Susan :)

Thank you for your encouragement, Dr. Lovely. Here in my hard-right neighborhood of Wisconsin, political opinion has hardly budged away from the cynicism of this regime. However, I look to a future in which the foes of humanity are vanquished. Farmers in my rural district are already feeling the pain from the regime's disastrous economic policies, and I suspect that many of them will see the light and pull their support from those who are actively destroying their livings.

As a fellow Oklahoman, I hope and pray our state can recognize what is happening before it is too late. Protests are growing. I will be involved on April 5 in Tulsa. The state is red, but I have seen and heard more support to stand up to this lately. It is giving me hope.

This idea is beautifully expressed and incredibly important. "We need to embrace the kind of activism in our communities that demands more from the rich and powerful, and depends less on the selfless giving of those without resources." Thank you.

I believe strongly in that idea! Thank you for reading, Richard!

I live in NC, which is actually a purple state, but we are so gerrymandered our congressional people are mostly MAGAts. There is no Republican Party anymore; that party ended with Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and Jesse Helms.

People are going to suffer and die because our government is being ripped to shreds because the MAGA elected won’t stand up to stop it. Can you imagine how they would try to spin Timothy McVeigh today???!!!!

I struggle with the realization that much of this country, several in my family, see no bombing, feel no pain, and deny that anything country-destroying, life-ruining is happening. This is a secondary trauma and it delivers a double dose of anguish.

I share with family members what is happening at my husband’s job but find little empathy. It hurts. We are so far away from each other.

How will the destruction deniers understand, unless they too can see, hear, and more importantly feel the pain. It’s a weird space to be in to wish for suffering while desperately wanting it to end.

I’m heading outside to watch the arrival of spring in NC. It’s all pink and green and lovely.
